Michelob Ultra & DAVID Buenos Aires Find the Perfect Match to Celebrate Messi Winning Copa America
Jul. 23, 2024
Just seconds after Messi lifted the Copa America trophy in Miami, Michelob Ultra launched a campaign to honor the GOAT in a very special way. Alongside DAVID Buenos Aires, the brand came to a particular finding: Messi's iconic goal celebration perfectly matches the shape of the Michelob ULTRA ribbon in its logo. This powerful image has inspired “Simply Superior”, a striking redesign of the Superior Light Beer logo to honor the brand’s ambassador.
Paige Dawes, Global Marketing Director at Michelob ULTRA said:
“We are incredibly excited to launch this campaign. Messi’s iconic celebration and our brand’s logo both symbolize the joy of achieving greatness. This campaign perfectly captures that connection.”
Nicolas Vara and Ignacio Flotta, CCOs at DAVID Buenos Aires said:
"Once we came to the idea, it was just a matter of finding the perfect timing for it. And we couldn't think of a better one than seeing the GOAT winning a new title and becoming the most decorated football player of all time."
The campaign features OOH and social executions.
