LGBTQ Nonprofit Callen-Lorde released New Brand Identity by Mother Design

LGBTQ Nonprofit Callen-Lorde released New Brand Identity by Mother Design

Jan. 04, 2018

LGBTQ nonprofit Callen-Lorde has just revealed a new brand identity, by Mother Design, inspired by guerrilla marketing during the AIDS crisis in the 1980s.

For nearly 50 years, Callen-Lorde has been a revolutionary leader in the LGBTQ health space, offering comprehensive health services free of societal judgement. In 2019, Callen-Lorde will open a brand new 25,000 square foot facility in Brooklyn.

Matt Van Leewen, Design Director at Mother New York, said:

"Callen Lorde's new identity is an homage to their activist roots. The bold and empowering use of typography and color creates a unique anti-corporate identity that sets it apart from any other operator in the healthcare space. With the new identity elements, we set a foundation that we can build on for many years to come."
